Cannoli is a brush lettering style font, designed specially for use in logotypes, advertising and packaging. It is interesting to note the use of free-flowing lettering to perform its own eye-catching.
This vintage typeface is a reminiscent of the posters of the 50s, painted with a brush in enamel advertising signs.
“Cannoli” was inspired by the delicacy of the Sicilian pastry, and the robust charm of its landscape.

Clarika is driven by the core concept that a font family can provide both a geometric and grotesque set of sub-families, interchangeable to create a robust versatile type system.

Clarika Office is the suit-and-tie companion to Clarika Pro, offering a pared down set of styles to improve the ease of use within office applications such as Word or PowerPoint. Office carries nearly all the same features as Pro. Multiple family classes have been designed mapping popular combinations of weights from Clarika Pro giving flexible options for brands in an otherwise limited environment.

Within all Clarika families co-exists two sub-families, Clarika Geometric and Clarika Grotesque. Clarika Geometric is the backbone of the system defined by calculated precision, balance of hard and soft geometry, and simplicity of form while Clarika Grotesque is refined by traditional cues, elegant page texture, and classic grotesque detailing. Unique notches and angled terminals throughout both sub-families invite negative space into counters allowing letterforms to become more legible and gracefully support an incredible range of weight options. Clarika is both a nod to the past and a step towards the future.

Character sets support over 200 Latin-based languages covering Western Europe, Central/Eastern Europe, Baltic, Turkish, Romanian, and Cyrillic languages. Equipped for professional typography, Clarika supports OpenType features include lining, tabular, and oldstyle figures, fractions, ordinals, superscripts, subscripts, and more.

During the 1960s Hippie movement, a large amount of the rock and roll poster art was strongly influenced by the Art Nouveau period of the early 1900s.

A poster for an appearance by The Doors at San Francisco’s Cow Palace Exposition Center (presented by Fillmore East and West owner Bill Graham) featured some wonderfully eclectic Nouveau-styled serif hand lettering.

Now recreated as a digital type face called Cow Palace JNL (and named for the performance venue), the font is available in both regular and oblique versions.

An assortment of antique, hand-punched brass stencils from Australia [used for crate marking and shipping] served at the models for Aussie Stencil JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The lettering of the original stencil punches had rounded edges to the characters; looking more machine rendered than hand punched into the brass sheets.

Full of curves, Headwaters is a nine-weight sans serif face with a special personality.

The lower case is more conventional than the capitals, for ease of reading in extended text setting. The capitals have some unusual, eye-catching letter shapes—a little bit art deco or geo—rendered in a subtly grotesk manner, in keeping with the overall tone of the typeface.

Nebulosa font family has been designed for Graviton Font Foundry by Pablo Balcells in 2020. It is a futuristic, slightly extended sans serif typeface with semi rounded endings that provide a softened aesthetic without losing its solidity. Nebulosa has been conceived to be most suitable for logos, headlines and display design pieces as well as short length text blocks.

Nebulosa consists of 10 styles, 8 of which containing small caps and glyph coverage for several language and 2 of which are free.

Glodok is a single-weight display typeface. It is bold, heavy and fun to play around with. It’s eye catching but also blends well when in use. It is retro-inspired and strikes a nice balance between formal and playful.

The name itself comes from the oldest Chinatown in Jakarta that is also considered the biggest in Indonesia, the place from where the designer took many inspirations.

JT Energy is a new in 2020 interpreted geometric type with optically consistent line thickness and an interesting look and feel. This type is inspired by designs from Paul Renner and Arno Drescher and was long developed until it was something own.

Killer Garbage is a grunge version of my Spitzenklasse font. It’s worn and torn real bad - but not more than the font is still legible even at very small sizes.
I don’t fancy grunge fonts that only has one or two versions of each letter available. The text usually gets very static and predictable, because the same letters are repeated again and again. That’s why I have included 6 different versions of each letter in this font! And the great thing about this is that the letters automatically cycles as you type! Forget everything about repeating the same letters all the time!!!

Klik is a universal sans serif family – clean and timeless. Both iconic and legible, Klik is suited to cover many needs from brand identities to editorial design, advertising, logos and beyond. Cyrillic characters are featured and a wide range of languages is supported.

The Berkshire Pro family began with Berkshire Swash Pro, an alluring semi-sweet typestyle with a bold yet feminine flair to it. But from the beginning, this was always meant to be a trio family. Finally this family is complete with Regular, Loops, and Swash Pro styles.

An Unusual Hero Script

Mervale Script Pro is based on inspiration from the 1940’s Fawcett Publications “Mary Marvel” comic. This unusual brush lettered script blends script and serif capitals with a mix of unusual brush strokes to create a lively font that draws attention.

Clean letterforms with an eclectic offbeat flavor in letter stances lends Mervale Script Pro to a unique variety of uses from casual to lightly sophisticated. The stylistic alternates feature adds swash capitals to the mix to offer even more diversity.

I originally wanted to call this font Instant Pudding. When I was a kid, we sometimes had instant pudding (the ‘add cold milk and rest in the fridge’ kind) for dessert. My brother and I loved the stuff, especially when some of the pudding powder had not dissolved and had turned into brightly coloured speckles!

But this font, alas, did not ‘feel’ like instant pudding, so I hunted the internet for other, more obscure, puddings.

I found Spoonbread.

Apparently it is a pudding-like Southern American dish, made from cornmeal. I have never tasted it, nor do I particularly like corn (most of it is GMO anyway), but the font and the name became friends. And who am I to tear this beautiful relationship asunder?
