Bricola (rhymes with Nicola) is a condensed display face that contrasts soft curved outlines with sharp cuts and counters.

The licensed family includes Regular and Bold weights that both pack a punch, and also two handy italics (obliques).

Gravtrac is a slab serif headliner designed to deliver solid punches while taking up as little horizontal space as possible. Inspiration comes from mid twentieth century classics: Univers 59 Ultra-Condensed, Helvetica Inserat and Compacta. It’s all about flat sides, a steady rhythm and tight, precision curves. The widest style of Gravtac is Condensed—compact, yet a comfortable read, available in 7 weights from Ultra-Light to Heavy. Gravtrac Compressed is probably the width where most typefaces would quit. It’s narrow enough for most…but not for you. That’s why we have Gravtrac Crammed. It’s audaciously narrow—perfect for times where you want the reader to slow down and truly pay attention to the message. Gravtrac Crushed is devilishly slender. Try it with wide tracking for a stark, opulent look. All styles are also available in obliques varying from 7 to 10 degrees—58 styles in total. Gravtrac includes Opentype fractions, numeric ordinals, a breadth of currency symbols and old-style (lowercase) numerals. Almost all current Latin based languages are supported as well as Greek and Cyrillic. Every skilled designer already has slab serif typefaces in their stockpile but some of us have the need to squeeze.

A vintage newspaper front page from June 6, 1944 proclaimed “France Invaded” in a bold, condensed wood type that has been revived as News Event JNL – available in both regular and oblique versions.

Varese Outlined is the perfect font for giving content a retro and playful feel. Use it for headlines or for short body text when you need an optimistic or nostalgic tone.

It comes in outlined and outlined with a shadow for dimensional effect.

This geometric and modular typeface was inspired by Italian posters of the 1920s and 1930s. It playfully explores the boundaries between unity and variety. The blocky and modular characteristics of this font lend themselves well to tightly composed text either horizontally or vertically.

The lowercase is similar in form to the uppercase, yet many of the lowercase letters have interior spaces (counterforms). It comes with standard ligatures; ff, fi, fl, ffl and several alternate glyphs for number 1.

Varese Outlined has two siblings; Varese and Varese Soft.

Antique X Condensed is a condensed slab serif font found with the pages of a Rob Roy Kelly book of wood type designs.

It was introduced around 1840 by Wells and Webb, and the example served as the model for General Merchandise JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. 

Introducing rounded sans serif *SPIRO*. The family includes 3 styles: regular, bold and italic. Spiro supports multi language symbols as æ, ß, ç, etc. It also has all necessary ligatures and extra glyphs you may need. To use them you have to open glyphs panel in menu Window. The font is compatible on both Windows and Mac. You can use it in all popular apps like Adobe, Corel Draw, Microsoft, Final Cut etc.

A couple of years ago, I walked the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail in Japan. At the start of the walk, I stayed in a nice guesthouse in Tanabe city, which lies in Wakayama prefecture. I wouldn’t mention all of this, if it didn’t have something to do with the font name: Wakayama prefecture is THE mandarin orange (Mikan) growing area of Japan and the owner of the guesthouse had just picked a bagful of mikan, which he shared with me.

So, I had to think of that when I made this font.

Mikan is a nice, rounded family of fonts. Both styles come with alternative a’s (and accented a’s), which some people prefer for Children’s books.

Display Board JNL is based on Futura Display, which was designed in 1932 by Paul Renner as an extension of his original (1927) Futura family of typefaces. 

According to Wikipedia, the font was developed as a typeface by the Bauer Type Foundry, in competition with Ludwig & Mayer’s seminal Erbar typeface of 1926

Display Board JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Salacious is my soft/rough all-caps font, inspired by both comics and grafitti. The weight and width of the letters varies a bit. Not in a disturbing way, but more in a lively and organic way. I’ve added 5 (slightly) different versions of each letter (which automatically cycles as you type!) The letter shapes are a bit rough, due to the fact that they are handmade, and all corners are rounded, which gives a nice soft look!

County Clerk JNL was modeled after the vintage Hamilton wood type design Gothic Special, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

An early grotesk font, this condensed sans serif lends itself well to short headlines and brief body copy.

Finoteca (on English would be Niceteca) is display font for nice people. Why so? Well, by it’s design, it’s one happy, bouncy font with a lot of charm and positive feeling. Use it on product label, in books for kids, movie posters or as indoor graphic for your restaurant – if will fit anywhere. Available as single weight only – Regular, contains set of stylistic dingbats with interesting faces and persons made out from letter shapes.

Alderman JNL is a wide slab serif typeface based on the classic wood type Antique Light Face Extended, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
